Charity Art Auction!

STRIP – The Dallas Webcomics Expo is proud to host an art auction benefitting a local charity that is an excellent institution performing a great amount of help for children suffering from various injuries or illnesses. All proceeds from the art auction will be donated to their cause.

We’re encouraging all webcomic artists to donate an original piece of artwork for us to auction off at the 2012 STRIP – The Dallas Webcomics Expo show to attendees. The artwork should be a minimum of 8″ x 10″, be PG-rated at most, and it can be black & white or color. If you would like to contribute to our art auction, please download our submission form PDF file and email a scan or photo image of your artwork to us. We’re flexible with deadlines, but we would like to receive these submissions by July 27, 2012.Please bring your original art to STRIP – The Dallas Webcomics Expo on the event date of August 4, 2012 and we will have your work on display for attendees to bid on.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ATTEND TO PARTICIPATE!

That’s right!  If you are unable to attend the Expo for whatever reason you can still submit your original artwork for the auction.  You will be treated just as if you were at the show.  Remember: It’s for the kids!

We will upload a picture gallery of auction submissions as we receive them  for all to see.

The charity that will receive the proceeds from the Charity Art Auction:

The Texas Scottish Rite Hospital For Children – This is a nonprofit medical center, located just outside of downtown Dallas, that is funded solely by donations. They specialize in pediatric orthopedics, dyslexia, neurological disorders, orthotics and prosthetics.

We appreciate you, your work, your charity and assistance in helping us contribute to the children who are in need.
